►about us |
Eddie is a business and finance trainer with an extensive track record in training delivery and design. He is a qualified Chartered Accountant, and has over twenty years' practical experience in both commercial and non-profit sectors.
He likes to attend to each individual in his courses, and considers that his job is done only when every person in the room feels more confident, and that the day was more interesting and helpful than they expected.
He works with a small network of the best trainers, and together they cover most key areas of business training.

Making business and finance easier to understand His training style is inclusive, friendly and engaging, and he specializes in bringing finance and business understanding to those for whom such subjects are difficult, intimidating or boring. He has presented sessions for as few as two and as many as two hundred, and has appeared on BBC radio to help explain and discuss business matters. |
Communication, thinking and writing skills In recent years, he has taken a greater interest in leadership, communication and thinking skills. To back up his training, he has 'gone back to school' to learn about cognitive and developmental psychology, with a particular emphasis on thinking and learning skills. He aims to attain a doctorate, and to develop proven methodologies for the effective development of thinking skills in individuals and organizations.
Eddie also trains business writing and grammar, and has a great interest in language, articulation and creativity. His original MA at Cambridge was in English Literature; while at Trinity Cambridge he won the Powell Prize for poetry, and he continues to enjoy writing poetry and prose. He likes to bring a creative approach to everything he does.

Educational support for adults He has an abiding interest in adult learning, and has assisted at board level in the development of strategic plans for adult learning institutions, as well as providing commercial support for a number of educational and creative academies. He also performs some work for examining authorities, reviewing financial and language examination papers for accuracy, balance and fairness. |
Other interests Eddie loves to reflect on how people think, feel and live. As well as training, he enjoys being a poet, writer, songwriter and photographer. He strongly believes in work-life balance, and is always seeking ways to make his and others' lives freer, simpler and easier. He is a strong supporter of the practical disciplines of yoga and meditation, and believes that exercise benefits learning hugely, so that it is impossible to separate health of the the mind and balance of the body. He also strongly believes in 'time out', and gets some of his best ideas whilst gardening, or exploring 'away from it all'. He believes that wealth and profit are unimportant; that what matters is that today is wiser than yesterday. |
You would love working with us if... Eddie works with a small team of the best trainers, all experts in their own areas, and all highly professional and in demand. But the clients we love share our interest in wider life, rather than being narrowly focused on profit. If you believe that it is good relationships, and going the extra mile for each other, which make the difference in business, then please do get in touch. |
